Aston Villa picked up their first points of the season on Friday night and they will be looking to build some momentum when they take on Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Matt Le Tissier wants more footballers to be ‘quick thinking’ like Jack Grealish was during Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Everton on Friday night.
After being fouled inside his own half, Grealish took a quick free-kick, which took out five Everton players and resulted in Villa opening the scoring through Wesley.
Throughout the game, Dean Smith’s side were taking quick free-kicks, but there were occasions when the opposition stood right in front of the ball to stop Villa from gaining that advantage.
Speaking to Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News (24/08/2019 at 12:05 pm), former Southampton striker Le Tissier was impressed with the quick work by Grealish on the night.
On Grealish’s quick free-kick which led to the goal: “This is something that catches teams out,” Le Tissier told Soccer Saturday. “Footballers need to do this a little bit more.

“I watch Southampton play and it frustrates me sometimes because when you are given free-kicks and they just loiter. Get the ball down and get it played because you then have an advantage over the opposition because they are not set-up. Any time you can force that situation, it’s going to be to your advantage.
“Yes, it’s a terrific goal, but it all starts from that quick bit of thinking and taking four or five Everton players. They cannot get back and get involved in that attack and defend.”
It was a strong performance from Villa as they recorded their first points of the season against Marco Silva’s side, who are chasing a top-six finish this term.
Grealish impressed in the middle of the park alongside John McGinn as they ran the show against Everton, with the latter providing an assist for Anwar El Ghazi’s late strike.
