Sky Sports Soccer Saturday pundit Matt Le Tissier has praised Adam Lallana, saying he has the zip back in his game.

The midfielder is enjoying a strong month, first scoring England’s winner over Slovakia earlier this month before scoring a super goal in Liverpool’s demolition of Leicester City.

He continued his fine form on Saturday afternoon as he put in another impressive display in the Reds 5-1 win over Hull City at Anfield.

It was the kind of display that went a long way to silencing those who believe that he should not be in this current Liverpool team.

Le Tissier was one of those who was impressed, saying Lallana was unfortunate not to come away with the man of the match award.

“He’s playing with so much confidence at the moment,” he told Sky Sports.

“He’s got that zip back in him now. He got substituted but he was excellent. It was only Milner’s outstanding performance that stopped him getting man of the match.”

The performance was certainly impressive from Lallana, who has started this season on fire under Jurgen Klopp.

He now has three goals and three assists in Liverpool’s six games so far, making him the club’s highest assister and their joint top goalscorer.

It is some going considering he only managed six goals and four assists in the entirety of last season and the Reds will be hoping he can maintain it in what looks likely to be a big season for Klopp’s team.
