Matt Le Tissier has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Danny Ings returning to training for Southampton.
Southampton have posted a photo of the former Liverpool striker training with his teammates today.
The 28-year-old striker has been on the sidelines since the start of last month when he picked up a knee injury against Aston Villa, as reported by HampshireLive.
The former Burnley star is back in training now, as the Saints have posted on Twitter, with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl earlier suggesting that he could play against Brighton and Hove Albion, as quoted in HampshireLive.
The Saints will take on Brighton away from home in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Boost for Southampton
Ings is one of the best and most important players for Southampton, and the striker returning to training and potentially playing against Brighton is massive for the Saints.
According to WhoScored, the former Liverpool striker has scored five goals and provided two assists in seven Premier League games so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, the 28-year-old scored 22 goals and provided two assists in the league for the Saints.
