Liverpool have been mightily impressive this season, but they are not infallible according to the Sky Sports pundit.

Former professional footballer Matt le Tissier looks on during day fifteen of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace on December 30, 2013 in London, England.

Matt Le Tissier suggested that the weakest area of Liverpool’s team is their central midfield department, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.

The Reds have been superb this season, narrowly missing out on the Premier League title, and reaching their second consecutive Champions League final.

With this in mind, it is very hard to criticise Liverpool, especially considering the fact that they pushed Manchester City all the way in the race for the title.

Jurgen Klopp strengthened his squad last summer in pretty much every department, and their points tally of 97 in the Premier League was evidence of just how much they improved from last season.

Le Tissier suggested that Liverpool do have a weak-link, however, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports:

“I think the weakest point in Liverpool’s team is the central midfield. There is a case there that they are not as strong as the defence or attack – that is not to say they are weak, as the other two departments are very strong.”

The Sky Sports pundit’s comments do seem to be a little harsh, considering how impressive the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner have been for the Reds this season.

And all of this aforementioned Liverpool players will feel like they have a point to prove in the final against Tottenham now following Le Tissier’s claim.
