Former Southampton star Le Tissier has suggested that if Mane plays the way he did against Liverpool consistently this campaign, then he could find himself turning out for Real Madrid or Barcelona next season.

“If he was to do that every single week, then come next summer, he would be playing for one of the big boys in Spain,” said Le Tissier on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, August 20, 2016) while discussing Mane’s goal and performance against Arsenal.

Mane scored 11 goals and created 41 chances in 37 Premier League matches for Southampton during the 2015-16 season.

The attacker missed Liverpool’s Premier League match against Burnley away from home at Turf Moor at the weekend due to a shoulder injury.
