Jose Fonte left Southampton for West Ham United in January 2017.

Matt Le Tissier has responded to West Ham United defender Jose Fonte’s recent comments about Southampton on social networking site Twitter.
Fonte joined West Ham from Premier League rivals Southampton in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £8 million.
The 33-year-old defender was on the books of the Saints from January 2010 until January 2017 and was one of the best players for the club during that period.
According to BBC Sport, Fonte made a transfer request with 18 months left on his contract at Southampton.

The Portugal international made some very interesting comments about his former club Southampton on The Friday Football Social show on BBC Radio 5 live on Friday evening (7pm, November 17, 2017), as noted by BBC Sports presenter and commentator Tony Husband on social networking site Twitter (click here to listen to the programme in full).
Southampton legend Le Tissier has responded to Fonte’s comments and seems to have taken a dig at the Portuguese centre-back.
While the Saints finished eighth in the Premier League last season, the Hammers ended up 11th.
West Ham are currently third from bottom in the league, while Southampton are only four points above them in 15th.
