Southampton lost to Leicester City at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Southampton are not having a great season, and Leicester City piled up further misery on them on Wednesday evening by winning 4-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Leicester were the better team from start to finish in the Premier League match and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
The game also saw Claude Puel return to his former club. The Frenchman was dismissed by Southampton at the end of last season despite guiding the team to eighth place in the Premier League table and the League Cup final.

The 56-year-old was appointed the Leicester manager in October following the dismissal of Craig Shakespeare, and the Foxes are doing quite well under him.
While the Foxes are now in the top half of the Premier League, the Saints are currently just four point above the relegation zone.
Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier was following Wednesday’s game, and the 49-year-old has hit back at Leicester fans on social networking site Twitter for criticising the Saints for sacking Puel, reminding them that Foxes dismissed Claudio Ranieri despite the Italian guided them to the Premier League title.
