West Ham United lost again at the weekend, losing 4-2.

Matt Le Tissier has told Sky Sports that West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic can take a small amount of hearts from their 4-2 defeat at West Brom at the weekend.

With over half-an-hour left at The Hawthorns, West Ham found themselves 4-0 down in what was shaping up to be a horrendous visit to the West Midlands on Saturday.

They did, however, restore a degree of respectability about the scoreline when Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini pulled a couple of goals back, though it was not enough to affect the result in the end.

Nevertheless, Le Tissier feels that the Irons did show a sense of character and believes Bilic might be pleased with that aspect of the defeat, if nothing else.

“As for Slaven Bilic, the only positive he can take out of it is the character his team showed at 4-0 down to get a couple of goals back,” he told Sky Sports.

It has been a very poor start to the season by the Irons, who have collected just three points from a possible 15 so far.

But they have a good opportunity to pick up two wins in the next two games, with Southampton and Middlesbrough set to visit London in the coming weeks.

They are 18th in the Premier League table.
