Javier Hernandez has only managed four goals for West Ham United this season.
Matt Le Tissier has said on Sky Sports that he expected more from West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez this season.
The Irons signed Hernandez for £16 million last summer but the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star has only managed four goals from 21 games in all competitions.
Hernandez, signed by Slaven Bilic, is working out at around £4 million per goal at the moment and current West Ham boss David Moyes obviously isn’t convinced by him either.
The Scottish manager has only started the Mexican on one occasion in the Premier League since taking over from Bilic at the start of November.
And the Sky Sports pundit admits that he too has been disappointed with the 29-year-old.
He told Sky Sports: “It has been tough for him in that West Ham team and, while he’s chipped in a bit, more would have been expected when he signed.”
West Ham are only two points above the relegation zone and you have to believe that they would be having a far better season if Hernandez was scaling the heights that he was expected to, but he still has the time – and class – to turn things around in East London.
