Southampton got the better of Tottenham 2-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Tottenham took the lead in the 26th minute through England international striker Harry Kane, but the home team launched a comeback in the second half.
Yan Valery restored parity for the Saints in the 76th minute, and James Ward-Prowse scored the winner in the 81st minute.

The win for Southampton means that they are now 16th in the Premier League table with 30 points from as many matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
As for Tottenham, the North London outfit are currently third in the Premier League table with 61 points from 30 matches.
While the Saints are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, Spurs are facing a fight for a top-four finish.
