Wolverhampton Wanderers have decided to sign Raul Jimenez on a permanent contract.
Jimenez joined Wolves on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer of 2018.
The Premier League club announced on their official website last week that they have decided to make the loan deal officially permanent in the summer of 2019.
According to The Sun, Wolves will pay Benfica a transfer fee of £32 million for the Mexico international forward.
The former Atletico Madrid forward has been playing well for Nuno’s side this season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 30 Premier League starts, according to WhoScored.
Southampton legend Le Tissier believes that Wolves were right to sign Jimenez on a permanent contract.
Le Tissier said about Jimenez on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Premier League this past Saturday afternoon (12:48pm, April 6, 2019): “I think given what he has done for them this season, I think it was a no-brainer for them. He has led the line, outstanding, chipped in with a decent amount of goals as well.”
Wolves are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 47 points from 32 matches, level on points with seventh-placed Leicester City.
