Would Sam Allardyce be a good managerial appointment for Everton?
Everton are on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Ronald Koeman due to a run of poor results.
The Toffees are in the Premier League relegation zone at the moment and have also been knocked out of the Europa League.
David Unsworth is in temporary charge of Everton at the moment, but it is unlikely that the 44-year-old will be given the role on a permanent basis.
According to Sky Bet, former West Ham United and Newcastle United manager Allardyce is the favourite for the managerial role at Goodison Park with odds of 4/6.
Former Southampton star Le Tissier believes that Allardyce would do the job of getting the Toffees out of the relegation zone.
Le Tissier told Sky Sports when asked if Allardyce would be the practical choice for Everton: “Oh, 100%.
“With the position they are in at the moment, with Sam’s experience, you can almost, you can almost guarantee Everton wouldn’t be in a relegation scrap, almost.”
Allardyce knows the Premier League inside out, and the fact that he is without a managerial job at the moment could also appeal to Everton.
However, would the Englishman be the right manager for the Toffees in the long run?
