Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier noted on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News this past Saturday afternoon (14:15pm, February 16, 2019) that both Leeds United and Norwich City have looked fragile at times this season.

The former England international attacking midfielder made the comments while discussing which teams challenging for promotion from the Championship are best equipped for the Premier League.

Le Tissier said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News this past Saturday afternoon (14:15pm, February 16, 2019): “Leeds and Norwich, I think both have looked a little bit too fragile at times.”

Valid point

Le Tissier did also note that if Norwich and Leeds get promoted to the Premier League, then they will have money to spend and could, therefore, strengthen their squad.

The Sky Sports pundit’s observation about the Whites and the Canaries being fragile at the moment, though, is valid.

After all, while Norwich have conceded 42 goals in 33 Championship matches so far this season, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have shipped in 36 goals in 32 league fixtures.

True, Norwich and Leeds do not lack firepower in attack and can score goals, but the fact is that they need to do better defensively, not only in the Premier League if they get promoted, but also in the Championship between now and the end of the season if they want to get promoted.
