David Brooks started for Bournemouth as they were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.

Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier has agreed that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino would be an ‘admirer’ of Bournemouth’s’s David Brooks.
The Premier League wing wizard started for the Cherries on the right flank as they were thumped 5-0 by Spurs on Boxing Day at Wembley.
Wales international Brooks moved to the Vitality Stadium in the summer when he made the switch from Championship side Sheffield United.
Brooks has had a positive start to his career in the south coast, netting five goals in 17 league matches – he found the back of the net on three occasions in the second tier of English football last term.
Prior to the Boxing Day clash, Sky Sports presenter, Jeff Stelling asked Le Tissier whether Brooks ‘would fit into Spurs’ side’ and if ‘Pochettino would be an admirer’, this was his response:
“Yes [He would fit into Spurs’ side],” Le Tissier told Sky Sports’ Soccer Special programme on 26/12/2018 at 1:10 pm. “The way that he has started the season, he would have had admirers from clubs a bit higher up the table.”
“I would have thought so [Pochettino would be an admirer]. This boy has had a good start to the season. I think Eddie Howe has been a little bit surprised by just how well he has taken to the Premier League.”

Eddie Howe has been regularly picking and starting Brooks since the Welshman’s arrival at the club in the summer.
Brooks has played 19 games in all competitions, where he has found the back of the net on five occasions and supplied one assist along the way.
Despite losing three out of their last five league games, Bournemouth are sitting in 11th place, two points behind seventh-placed Leicester City.
For Pochettino, his team are second in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Liverpool and a point ahead of third-placed Manchester City.
