It is hard to criticise Wolverhampton Wanderers for anything this season.

Wolves ace Matt Doherty spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-1 draw with Preston North End at the weekend, and admitted that defending set-pieces has been his side’s Achilles heel this season, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit have been magnificent all season long, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, 11 points clear of second placed Cardiff City.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been so impressive that it is hard to actually criticise them for anything.
Doherty, though, admitted that his team do have a weak link, and explained how frustrating it was for them to concede a set-piece goal at Deepdale, when speaking to the Express & Star:
“Not every game is going to fall into place for you. It was disappointing to concede from a set piece. We’ve been weak at set pieces at the start of the season, we seemed to have nipped it in the bud.”

Doherty’s words are a sign of how high the standards are at Molinuex, considering the fact that Nuno’s side have the best defensive record in the division.
Next up for Wolves is a home game against Norwich City tomorrow night, and it would take a brave man to bet against them racking up another three points on their quest to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
