Joe Rogan often says that fighters are some of the kindest people around, a sentiment he shared again recently.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan found someone who feels the same way.

Matt Damon, who won an Oscar for ‘Good Will Hunting,’ joined Rogan for a 2.5-hour chat to discuss his new Netflix film ‘The Rip’ and more.

Ben Affleck also joined them, promoting ‘The Rip’, their new Netflix movie, which became available for streaming on January 16.

During the conversation, Joe Rogan spoke about his experiences meeting various UFC fighters, describing them as “the sweetest, nicest, friendliest people in the world.”

Damon nodded in agreement and recounted his own story about crossing paths with Henry Cejudo at an event. He said he was struck by how unassuming and humble the former champion appeared.

“I remember going to one of the events in LA. I think it was at Staples,” Damon recalled.

“I was backstage and was talking to one of the lawyers for the UFC.

“We were talking about Conor McGregor, and he was telling me a great story about him.

“This guy walks up, and he’s in chinos, like khaki pants, and like a blue button-up kind of business shirt with spectacles.

“He’s very small, and I kind of don’t really regard him, and I’m still hearing this story.

“Then Patrick goes, ‘Matt, do you know Henry?’ And I turn, and it’s Henry Cejudo.

“I’m like, ‘this f—ing guy could wreck me right now. Absolutely f—ing destroy me’.

“And he is the guy that some dummy would try to pick on, you know what I mean?

“He’s not carrying himself like he’s [a tough guy], he just is the thing.”

Henry Cejudo’s next steps after retirement

After dropping a decision to Payton Talbott at UFC 323 in December, Cejudo decided to step away from MMA.

The former two-division champion closed out his storied career on a tough run, losing his last four fights.

But retirement did not last long. Cejudo is set to return next month, stepping back into competition for a wrestling match against a familiar face.

‘Triple C’ will take on Urijah Faber at RAF 06, scheduled for February 28.
