Rangers player Matt Crooks was pleased to see Angel Gomes feature for Manchester United against Crystal Palace in the Premier League at the weekend.

Rangers player Matt Crooks has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Angel Gomes making history with Manchester United.
Crooks, 23, who has been on the books of Rangers since 2016 and had a spell at United’s academy, was impressed with Gomes making his Premier League debut for the Red Devils at the weekend.
The 16-year-old attacking midfielder featured for Jose Mourinho’s side in the game against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The talented and promising teenager replaced Wayne Rooney in the 88th minute, as United won 2-0.
According to BBC Sport, Gomes is the first player born in this century to play in the Premier League.
Crooks, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder and played the second half of the 2016-17 season on loan at Scunthorpe United, was impressed with Gomes and shared his admiration on Twitter.
United have ended the 2016-17 Premier League campaign in sixth place with 69 points from 38 matches.
