How good really is Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren?

German international defender Mats Hummels has decided to bite his tongue over criticising fellow professional Dejan Lovren.
But from the looks of it, he was ready to roast the Croatian.
Lovren said earlier in the week he was among the best in the world after helping Croatia reach the World Cup final.
Yesterday he was on the losing side as his country lost 4-2 to France.

Bayern Munich defender Hummels commented on Lovren, in reference to a tweet comparing him to 2014 World Cup winner Jerome Boateng.
He responded by saying there was so much he wanted to say in reply, but really couldn’t.
Hummels ultimately decided against slanging off a fellow professional, but the inference from his message is clear, that he felt the comparison was poor and Lovren was nowhere near Boateng’s level.
The final ended in heartbreak for Lovren, and he actually did himself credit by helping him get there.
He would have been better off saying nothing before the final, and setting himself up to be criticised with Croatia’s loss inevitable from the moment he opened his mouth.
