Mateusz Klich should look to leave Leeds United in the January transfer window.
Mateusz Klich arrived at Leeds United in the summer of 2017 amid hype and expectation and with a strong reputation, but the Poland international midfielder has failed to make an impact at Elland Road so far.
The 27-year-old midfielder has struggled for playing time and has even been left out of matchday squads at Leeds on occasions.
It is clear that head coach Thomas Christiansen has not been too impressed with Klich so far, and it would make sense for the Polish midfielder to look for a new club in the January transfer window.
Middlesbrough were linked with a move for Klich in the summer transfer window before he joined Leeds from FC Twente.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Boro made a late enquiry about the midfielder, and perhaps they should make a move for him again in January.
Boro’s season is not going according to plan, and the Riverside Stadium outfit could do with an extra player in the midfield department in January.
Leeds may not be willing to sell or even loan out Klich to a direct rival for the playoffs, but the midfielder should at least explore the possibility of joining a club where he can play regular and is rated highly.
