The Leeds United midfielder is heading back to West Yorkshire.
It looks like Mateusz Klich is headed back to Leeds United soon.
The Poland midfielder was given an extended break following international commitments earlier this month and therefore he was not among the Whites’ players to return for pre-season training this week.
But Klich, on holiday in Germany, posted a photo of himself relaxing on a sun lounger and revealed that he’s set to return to West Yorkshire, writing ‘on my way to Leeds’ in the caption.
What a stunning year it’s been for the 29-year-old.
This time last year, Klich returned from a half-season loan at FC Utrecht following a very disappointing first six months at Leeds, after a £1.5 million switch two years ago [Yorkshire Evening Post].
His United career looked dubious at best, but Marcelo Bielsa transformed him and he was easily one of the Whites’ most influential players last season, netting 10 goals in the Championship.
If the Polish star can replicate his heroics of last term when it’ll go a long way to ensuring that Bielsa’s side are in the mix for Premier League promotion once again.
