Leeds United’s Mateusz Klich is now a bargain signing, having turned around his career in West Yorkshire.

Mateusz Klich saw his brilliant form for Leeds United rewarded today with a call-up to Poland’s national team.
The 28-year-old could play a role in the Nation’s League clash with Italy next month. If he does, it’ll be his first Poland cap since 2014 and Leeds fans know how deserved it would be.
The former FC Twente star has scored three goals in five Championship outings for the Whites since returning from a half-season loan at Utrecht in the Netherlands.
It’s a remarkable turnaround for a player who only made three Championship appearances under Thomas Christiansen, who was sacked in February.
In January, Klich, a £1.5 million [Yorkshire Evening Post] signing last summer, had looked something of a waste of money, but fast forward nine months and now he’s looking like a bargain.
He is playing a huge role in Leeds’ early-season heroics, helping United go top of the Championship with another goal on Saturday, and head coach Marcelo Bielsa has clearly discovered a way to utilise his talents, in ways that Christiansen could not.
But it’s still early, and Klich’s form will inevitably dip at some point, but for now that £1.5 million fee is looking like an absolute steal.
