Mateusz Bogusz is attracting plenty of attention after joining Leeds United during the January transfer window.

In comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Mateusz Klich has suggested that he is always happy to help Leeds starlet Mateusz Bogusz, but admitted that he is expecting the 17-year-old to become a better player than he currently is.
Bogusz was one of two January signings made by the Championship high-flyers. But while Kiko Casilla was immediately deemed to be a fantastic addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, there was a lot more intrigue surrounding the deal for the Polish teenager.
However, after just a handful of under-23 appearances, Bogusz is being tipped for great things at Elland Road. He scored his first goal in the recent 4-0 win against Charlton, and has shown glimpses of serious quality for Carlos Corberan’s side.
With Klich knowing all too well what it takes for someone to become a revelation in the middle of the park for the Whites, he seems to be the perfect player to take his countryman under his wing. But the first-team star admitted that he has extremely high hopes for the youngster anyway.

“Yeah, we talk when he trains with us and when he’s around, we always try to help him and try to translate as well. It’s not like I can give him any advice because he is 17 and he is going to be probably better than me. If he needs anything, I’m here for him,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, when asked whether he looks to help the January signing.
“Yeah, he was here and we talked and he asked me about the club and everything and I think I did well,” he joked when asked if they spoke before he joined Leeds.

Given how important Klich has been this season, his prediction about Bogusz’s future is quite a frightening prospect. The 28-year-old’s strike at Reading in midweek was his eighth of the campaign in the league, while he has also provided seven assists.
If Bogusz is capable of achieving anything like that tally once he breaks into the first-team in future, then it would be fair to say that Leeds will have pulled off an incredible piece of business.
