Leeds United allowed a number of players to leave the club over the summer, and one player left without even getting an official announcement.
Goalkeeper Kamil Miazek quietly left Leeds in September, moving on as a free agent after his contract came to an end.
The 24-year-old had been snapped up in 2018 having been released by Chojniczanka Chojnice, and some had high hopes for him after his prior spell at Dutch side Feyenoord.
A giant stopper at 6ft 5in tall, Miazek was a regular at developmental level, but never made his first-team debut for the Whites.
The Sun on Sunday (9/8; page 60). reported that Huddersfield Town wanted to sign Miazek, with Carlos Corberan keen to reunite with him – but that deal didn’t go through.
So what now? Miazek remains a free agent, and scout Jakub Bokiej – who as a Leeds academy scout and played a role in Miazek’s move to Elland Road – has taken to Twitter to ty and find the stopper a club.
Bokiej tweeted on Monday that Miazek is seeking a club having been out of the game for ‘various reasons’, but could provide quality for any teams needing a goalkeeper.
Bokiej asked for retweets to try and land a club, and Leeds first-team star and fellow Pole Mateusz Klich joined in trying to help Miazek by retweeting the message – let’s see if it works!
