Mateusz Klich has posted ‘Thank You, Marcelo’ on Instagram after Leeds United sacked Marcelo Bielsa.
On Sunday morning, Leeds announced that they have parted ways with Bielsa following their 4-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.
In recent weeks, the Yorkshire club have been on a horror run, including conceding 20 goals from their last five matches.
No other team has conceded more than the Whites and it has left those in the boardroom with no other choice but to boot Bielsa out of the door.
It’s a difficult decision from the club, no doubt, because Bielsa will go down as a club legend given what he has done for them.
When the Argentine first took over, they were sitting midtable in England’s second tier.
And without spending much money, he helped the club end their nightmare near two-decade suffering in England’s lower leagues and back to the promised land where many people think they belong.
Whilst last season was a joyous time for all involved, it has gone very wrong during this campaign.
Now, Leeds have to focus on bringing in a replacement, ASAP because, at this moment in time, they are heading in one direction.
