There was wholesome content for the Tottenham Hotspur community on Sunday.

Emerson Royal, who joined Spurs last summer, revealed on Instagram that his dog had gone missing.

The pooch escaped from the Tottenham defender’s garden in East Finchley.

However, the Brazilian right-back posted a posititve update shortly afterwards, revealing that his beloved Rottweiler had been safely returned to him.

Here’s how Lilywhites fans reacted on Twitter:

Great weekend

This topped off a fine weekend for Tottenham fans.

On Saturday, they watched North London rivals Arsenal lose to Manchester City and, as a result, weaken their Champions League qualification bid.

Hours later, Antonio Conte’s side beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road, thanks to a last-minute winner.

Arsenal are still fourth in the Premier League table but Tottenham are only two points behind.

Crucially, Spurs also have two games in hand.

The Gunners are looking mightily impressive right now but Tottenham have the momentum – and experience.

Remember, Conte is an extremely decorated manager, having won the Premier League and four Serie A titles.

Coaches of his skill and experience are very dangerous and Arsenal fans won’t like that it’s Tottenham chasing them down for fourth.
