It’s been a weekend of Premier League shocks, yet Manchester City losing at home to Crystal Palace could be the biggest result of them all, and Wilfried Zaha made history in the process.

The 28-year-old attacker, who re-joined Palace in 2015 for a reported fee of £6m, scored his 50th Premier League goal for the Eagles as Patrick Vieira’s side won 2-0 against City.

The result could have huge implications on the title race, with Chelsea and Manchester United both winning whilst Liverpool gained a point over City with a 2-2 draw against Brighton.

Yet at the Etihad, the match belonged to Zaha, who caused City havoc for most of the match. And the south London side were richly deserved with three massive points.

Indeed, Zaha’s goal against City now takes him now to 50 Premier League goals for Palace, more than any player in the club’s top-tier history.

The Ivory Coast international has impressed since the arrival of Vieira, with Palace now 13th in the standings and four points off sixth place Brighton.
