Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after some 13-second footage of Eric Dier and Steven Bergwijn emerged from Hotspur Way.
The video in question shows Elliot Thorpe – a 20-year-old academy prospect – running rings around the experienced first-team duo.
Dier can be seen looking like a statue as the ball is played past his lifeless body and into Thorpe’s path, who then slots home.
The youngster’s goal also reflects terribly on Bergwijn.
The Dutchman was supposed to be tracking Thorpe, but merely jogs alongside him before losing the prodigy, who then slots the ball home.
There’s nothing wrong with watching the youngsters impress up against first-team players – if anything, that’s a major positive.

However, when those first-team players are making it extremely easy for the kids by barely putting any effort in, that becomes a big problem.
Dier and Bergwijn simply don’t look interested in the footage.
They look like a pair of knackered 50-year-old men playing out the final five minutes of a five-a-side game.

José Mourinho surely won’t be happy with what he’s seen from the duo.
The Spurs supporters on Twitter certainly aren’t – you can’t blame them.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying about the 13-second footage…
