Everton reportedly look set to miss out on Adam Lallana, with the Liverpool midfielder allegedly set to join Brighton and Hove Albion.
Interest from Everton
Lallana is leaving Liverpool this summer, and the former Southampton midfielder has announced his exit in an emotional post on Instagram.
Earlier this week, The Telegraph claimed that Everton are among the clubs interested in signing the 32-year-old on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.
However, it seems that the Toffees will miss out on the signing of the England international, described by his Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson as “a massive player” to The Liverpool Echo this week.
Moving to Brighton and Hove Albion
According to ReadLiverpool, Lallana has agreed to join Brighton on a free transfer this summer.
The report has claimed that the official announcement of the transfer will be made in the next few days.
BBC Sport has also reported of Brighton’s interest in the Liverpool midfielder, stating that the former Southampton star is close to moving to the Seagulls, having been in talks over a three-year contract.

Future of Leighton Baines
Meanwhile, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that Leighton Baines will inform the club of his decision about his future before the Premier League match against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Merseyside outfit have offered the left-back a one-year contract extension.
Ancelotti told The Daily Star: “I think he is going to give us an answer before Sunday. So every decision he is going to take, I’m sure he will be part of this club also in the future.
“Playing or staying at the club. His knowledge and experience is important to help this club improve. He can be a player but also he can be part of this club. I don’t know in which position but for sure he can be part of this club.”
