Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane turning down Bayern Munich would be a “massive mistake”.

That is according to former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique, who took to Twitter to express his opinion on Harry Kane‘s potential move to Bayern.

As per The Athletic, the German giants and Tottenham have agreed a deal that could see the 30-year-old move to the Allianz Arena this summer.

However, the same outlet also states that Kane must now decide whether he actually wants to join Bayern or stay in north London.

On his potential switch to Thomas Tuchel’s side, Enrique said: “You can’t say no to Bayern when you play for Tottenham. Will be a massive mistake from him.”

Guaranteed trophies at Bayern Munich

One reason why Kane is weighing up leaving Tottenham is because he wants to win silverware. The England captain is now 30 and, despite all of his goals, is yet to claim any major honours.

“The goal right now as a player is to win team trophies,” he said at the 2021 London Football Awards.

At Bayern, Kane would obviously get the chance to do the above. The Bundesliga champions win the title practically every year and are usually one of the favourites for the Champions League.

There is certainly a lot of appeal when it comes to Bayern, who are one of Europe’s elite clubs. Still, Kane has a legacy at Tottenham and may want to make it even greater by remaining in north London.

He also has the chance to become the highest goalscorer in Premier League history if he stays in England, and it is not impossible for Tottenham to win something like the FA Cup, for example, in the next few years.

It really will be interesting to see what decision Kane arrives at. But with Bayern really going all out to sign him, you would have to assume that he has indicated to them that he would be open to a switch to the Allianz Arena this summer.
