Leeds United fans feel that Patrick Bamford’s chances of breaking into England’s squad for Euro 2020 have just greatly increased.

It has just been announced by UEFA that squad sizes will be increased to 26 for the tournament.

Bamford only narrowly missed out on making England’s last squad, with the Leeds striker overlooked for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.

But with more options to pick there is a real chance that Gareth Southgate may select another forward player.

And Leeds supporters are now hoping that Bamford does make the cut.

If Bamford is to force his way into the Three Lions’ set-up then he may need to recover his best form.

The Leeds striker actually only has two goals in his last 10 games, which is his worst run of form of the season.

Bamford does have 14 strikes to his name though and the fact that he is now considered a real candidate for a country highlights how well he has done in his first season back in the top flight.
