Manchester City fans have provided a mixed reaction to news about Tottenham striker Harry Kane ahead of Sunday’s League Cup final.
Tottenham’s talisman is touch-and-go for the Wembley showdown after being left out of the win against Southampton in midweek.
Ahead of the game, Tottenham’s stand-in coach, Ryan Mason told his pre-match press conference, that Kane is still trying to get on the training pitch.
Either way, Tottenham are a different animal with their main man up top, even if the likes of Heung-Min Son and Gareth Bale are on the pitch.
Tottenham may have to be in the situation where they rush him back and take a serious risk in starting him.
And that’s something some Manchester City fans feel will happen, but they have acknowledged the obvious advantage they have in the Englishman being absent.
Unless Kane is seriously struggling, it is, at the very least, worth putting him on the bench and seeing what comes of that.
