Everton defender Mason Holgate has been keen to learn as much as he can from Marco Silva.

Silva has impressed Holgate with the thoroughness of his training sessions and tactical plans.
The young Everton defender is keen to learn as much from the Portuguese boss as possible.
And Holgate admits that he has held one-on-one sessions with Silva to try and get used to the Toffees boss’s tactics more quickly.
“I’ve had a couple of meetings with him, just to clear up certain aspects of my game that he has seen or things wants me to do,” Holgate, who is on a £25,000-a-week contract (Daily Star), said.
“It’s helping me out a lot because it’s clear what he wants, then hopefully I can go out and do it.
“I’m really enjoying it [playing under Silva]. Being young, there are still some things I might not be clear on and I feel I can go to the manager and ask questions and he doesn’t have a problem with that. It makes it a lot easier for me.”

Holgate looks likely to start for Everton at the weekend, which gives him a chance to nail down his first-team place.
The Toffees are without a number of their defensive options, with Yerry Mina and Phil Jagielka both sidelined with injury.
Holgate should feature alongside Kurt Zouma in Everton’s defence at the weekend, as they take on West Ham on Saturday.
Everton are currently unbeaten in the Premier League this season, after making an encouraging start under Silva’s tutelage.
