Celtic are reportedly set to sign Ukrainian midfielder Maryan Shved.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that Karpaty Lviv winger Maryan Shved is signing for the club – but he doesn’t really know much about him.
The Bhoys thrashed St Mirren 4-0 on Wednesday night, strengthening their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership in their first league game of 2019.
Celtic saw two new signings find the back of the net last night, with Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah both scoring for Rodgers’ side.
Celtic are now poised to make another signing, but he may not play for the Bhoys until next season in a surprise move.
The Express report that Celtic are about to sign Karpaty Lviv winger Maryan Shved, with a medical imminent ahead of a £1.75million move to Parkhead.
Shved, 21, has been in prolific form this season, hitting eight goals in 17 games for Karpaty, and he will now tie his future to Celtic for the coming years.
Intriguingly though, Rodgers has revealed that he doesn’t know much about Shved, and doesn’t think Celtic need any more wingers right now.

Rodgers seemingly barely knows who Shved is, but does think he has some talent for the future, and will be loaned out until the summer, when he can come back and start his Celtic career.
“The club have been in contact with Maryan’s representatives and he’s a talented young player for the future,” said Rodgers. “They’ll look to get the deal done and he’ll probably be out on loan and in during the summer. It’s something that’s come to the club through circumstance.”
“He’s been watched and looked at but I can’t say I know a great deal about him. But what I have seen he’s a talent and something that will probably benefit the club in the future. We’ve got about a million wingers and don’t need another one. But he’s a talent and in the summer we’ll probably lose wingers and he’ll look to come in,” he added.
