Maryan Shved has officially joined up with his new Celtic team-mates.
Celtic new boy Maryan Shved has heralded his club’s ‘unbelievable achievement’ of winning eight Scottish Premiership title in a row.
The Hoops thumped Aberdeen 3-0 earlier this month to clinch an eighth successive crown and move just two away from an exciting 10-in-a-row.
Shved, a £2 million signing in January [The Scottish Sun], joined up with Celtic this week after finishing off his loan with Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine during the second half of the season.
He might have only arrived in Glasgow, but the Ukraine international says that he has been keeping an eye on his parent club’s results ever since signing for the Bhoys.
The 21-year-old told The Scottish Sun: “I was keeping up to date with every Celtic game and I was so excited to watch my new club each week head towards the title.
“It is an unbelievable achievement for a club to win eight league titles in a row.”
Shved had a cracking season with Lviv, scoring 14 goals in 24 league starts. There is a lot of expectation of him at Parkhead based on those stats and his price tag, but hopefully for Celtic he can deliver next season.
He will have plenty of competition, with Scott Sinclair and Daniel Arzani – who has missed virtually the entire season through injury – likely to be competing for a spot on the Bhoys’ left wing next term.
