Marvin Compper joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in January 2018.

Compper joined Celtic from RB Leipzig in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1 million.
The 33-year-old central defender has struggled with fitness issues and lack of playing time at the Hoops so far this campaign.
The German defender has suggested that he is looking to leave Celtic in the January transfer window.
Compper told The Daily Record: “Unfortunately, I do not play much of a role with our manager and that’s why I want to take a look around during the winter break.
“Whether it will be in the Bundesliga, I do not know. I’m pretty open. Although I will be 34 in the summer, I still have a lot in the tank.
“Unfortunately, I can not show it at Celtic. Right now, it’s about looking to where I can continue my career.
“In any case, I can still play for two more years. “I just want to keep playing football elsewhere.”

No big loss for Celtic
Compper arrived at Celtic with a strong reputation, but the 33-year-old has not done much at Celtic Park to suggest that he will be a big loss for the Glasgow giants if he leaves in the January transfer window.
Even when the Bhoys were strugglingly defensively at the start of the season, manager Brendan Rodgers did not make use of the former Borussia Mönchengladbach defender.
Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and could also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season.
