Rangers beat Livingston 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, and the Ibrox faithful have been praised by visiting captain Marvin Bartley.

Fans were finally allowed back at Ibrox, and having ended last season as Scottish Premiership winners, there was a party atmosphere in Glasgow.

Rangers claimed a fairly routine 3-0 win, with Ianis Hagi opening the scoring having shown great composure inside the area.

Scott Wright and Kemar Roofe added to the lead in the second half to give Rangers a perfect start to the new Scottish Premiership season.

With Celtic then losing away at Hearts, Rangers already have an advantage over their Old Firm rivals.

Rangers fans have now been praised on Twitter, with Livingston captain Marvin Bartley reflecting on their response to players taking the knee.

Footballers across the UK continue to take the kneel show solidarity against racism, with the case close to heart of Bartley.

Bartley took to Twitter to state that he was nervous about taking the knee in front of fans, but felt the Rangers supporters were ‘absolutely fantastic’ and should be ‘applauded massively’ for their support for the cause.
