The Rangers striker has not been in good form for Mark Warburton this season and might do better away from Ibrox.
It has been reported this week that Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn is looking for a sharp exit from Ibrox in January after becoming disillusioned at the Glasgow club.
The Sun reported that Waghorn was disappointed not to have been offered a lucrative new deal at the club and was therefore considering his options – with clubs in England keen to sign last season’s top-scorer for Rangers.

He reportedly wanted to be earning the same as Niko Kranjcar and Joe Garner in Glasgow, something not forthcoming from Rangers.
On paper, it’s a disaster for Rangers. But could Waghorn’s potential departure be a good thing Rangers boss Mark Warburton?
Rangers’ Martyn Waghorn celebrates scoring their fourth goal
Last season he was immense, scoring 28 goals as Rangers were promoted back to the Scottish Premiership.
But the reality is that Waghorn’s form dipped after January last season, even before he suffered a knee injury against Kilmarnock in February. This season he has scored eight goals for Rangers, but only one of them has come in the league and he is without a goal since his hat-trick against Queen of the South in September.
Waghorn’s level appears to be the Scottish Championship, it seems the step up has not agreed with him.

Many Rangers fans see him as unfit and perhaps below par for this level. Based on his form from last season Warburton and Rangers would still be able to command a good transfer fee for the player.
Waghorn’s exit could pave the way to a more improved and better suited striker for Warburton to get the best out of Rangers throughout the remainder of the Scottish campaign.
