Aitor Karanka’s Nottingham Forest side are said to be keen to snap up Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich Town this summer.
Nottingham Forest’s latest target Martyn Waghorn was very critical of their former manager Mark Warburton, after working with him at Rangers.
Warburton left Rangers to join Forest back in 2017, and Waghorn blamed the manager’s selection policy for their poor form.

“You could say so [that Rangers had underperformed],” Waghorn said to the Daily Record.
“It’s been difficult one. People don’t know if they are playing, they are in and out. There has been a lot of uncertainty at times.”
Indeed, if Warburton had stayed in charge at Forest the potential transfer almost certainly would not have happened, as Waghorn made no plans to talk with the boss after he left Ibrox.
The striker said: “Whether I will speak to him in the future, I don’t know. I’m more interested in playing for Rangers right now.”
Waghorn was sold by Rangers the following summer anyway, and his form at Ipswich over the past campaign has reportedly attracted the attentions of Forest.
The Reds are known to be looking for a new front-man, with Aitor Karanka keen to improve his attack.
And if Waghorn does move to Forest then he may well not be the only person at the City Ground with who doesn’t remember Warburton too fondly.
