Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers won 6-0 against Dunfermline in the League Cup yesterday.
Martyn Waghorn urged Glasgow Rangers on before their match against Dunfermline and then messaged James Tavernier after the contest, to show there was no hard feelings despite his exit from Ibrox.
Rangers sold Waghorn to Ipswich Town earlier this week, with the striker moving back down south of the border.
However, Waghorn still seems to be keeping an eye out for Rangers’ results, and he was delighted to see his former side win 6-0 in the cup.
Rangers were in ruthless form last night, as they thumped Dunfermline, and put in an excellent display.
The Light Blues took the lead early on through Kenny Miller, and never looked back after that.
Bruno Alves curled in a free-kick, Tavernier got on the scoresheet, Daniel Candeias scored his first Rangers goal, and Alfredo Morelos netted a brace to seal a comfortable triumph.
Rangers have now won their first two domestic matches this season, with confidence building around Ibrox.
