Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers have sold Martyn Waghorn to Ipswich Town in the summer transfer window.
Martyn Waghorn has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a heartfelt message to Rangers following his move to Ipswich Town.
As announced on Ipswich’s official website today, Waghorn has joined the Championship club in England from Scottish Premiership side Rangers.
The 27-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Ipswich, but the transfer fee has not been disclosed by the English club.
The former Sunderland forward joined Rangers in the summer of 2015 after leaving Wigan Athletic and played a key role in the Gers winning automatic promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

Much was expected of Waghorn at Rangers last season, but the former Leicester City man failed to make a huge impact in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers.
Given the number of signings that Rangers have made so far in the summer transfer window, it was always going to be tough for the 27-year-old to feature regularly for Pedro Caixinha’s side in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Waghorn has taken to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to Rangers, and has also expressed his delight at joining Ipwich.
