Tottenham Hotspur-owned Cameron Carter-Vickers made his debut for Ipswich Town at the weekend.

Carter-Vickers, who joined Ipswich on loan from Premier League outfit Tottenham in the January transfer window for the rest of the season, featured in the Championship game against Bolton away from home at Macron Stadium last Saturday afternoon.
The 20-year-old defender started the encounter and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
It was the USA international’s debut for Ipswich, and 27-year-old Ipswich forward Waghorn was impressed.

“Cam had a difficult time with the big man [Gary Madine], but I thought he handled it very well,” Twtd.co.uk quotes Waghorn as saying.
“He played a lot of games early on in the season with Sheffield United and now he’s here, which is right bonus for us. He’s a good strong defender and comfortable on the ball, which is pleasing for us.”

Ipswich are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 40 points from 28 matches, six points behind sixth-placed Sheffield United.
Although the Tractor Boys are not among the favourites to clinch a playoff spot, if Mick McCarthy’s side put together a run of positive results, then they could find themselves right in the mix in the coming weeks and months.
Carter-Vickers’s impressive debut performance for Ipswich should impress Tottenham, and they will want him to continue playing well and return to the club a better player at the end of the season.
