Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have Jordan Rossiter back in training.

Former Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn has acknowledged his old team-mate Jordan Rossiter as a “very good player”.

The 20-year-old’s 18-month spell at Rangers has been decimated by injury, only making 10 first-team appearances since joining under Mark Warburton from Liverpool.

The former Reds’ academy product has only managed two games this season due to a knee injury and hasn’t kicked a ball for the Gers since August.

However, Rangers boss Graeme Murty revealed on Monday that the youngster was finally back in training and fans are desperate to see him stay fit for long enough to showcase his undoubted talent on a regular basis.

One fan of the Ibrox club echoed that sentiment on Twitter yesterday following the news, before Waghorn, who left the club to join Ipswich Town in the summer, chimed in.

Rossiter is indeed a fine talent but, according to The Mail, he is earning the guts of £10,000 per week at Rangers and he really needs to stay fit in order to justify such a salary.

They are not a wealthy club and that is a serious salary to be paying someone so young, but the ability is there and hopefully for Rangers’ sake they’ll see the best of him now.
