West Ham United youngster Martin Samuelsen has told the club’s official website he wants to build on a strong first year after signing a new deal with the club.
The winger joined the Hammers last summer after leaving Premier League rivals Manchester City.
He spent his first year at the club out on loan with League One side Peterborough, making 20 appearances and scoring two goals.
He clearly made an impression with them as he was handed his international debut by Norway towards the end of the season.

That capped a strong start to life with West Ham, and he says he is keen to build on it and do even better in future.
“I’ve been here for a year now, and nothing makes me happier than signing a new contract at the club to stay even longer,” he told the club’s official website.
“I’ve really enjoyed the year I’ve had at the club so far and I want to build on that. It’s just been one upward journey so far, and I’m really happy to sign a new deal and hopefully I can push on and do even better.”

It now remains to be seen if Samuelson can make the step up into the West Ham first team in the near future.
The midfielder is clearly highly rated at the club and his performances while on loan last season will certainly have the club thinking they have a future star on their hands.
However, Slaven Bilic currently has a number of attacking midfielders to choose from and it is likely Samuelson will have to wait for his chance.
