Martin Odegaard made his first Premier League start for Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, featuring in the 4-2 home win over Leeds United.
The Norwegian joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid last month, but has been settling in slowly ahead of his Gunners debut.
Mikel Arteta decided to start him on Sunday, allowing him to operate as a number 10 with Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe either side of him.
The trio rotated and interchanged to great effect, and Odegaard should be pleased with his performance against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
He notched one key pass, one interception and two completed dribbles in a promising display, as well as completing 26 passes.
Odegaard may now be hoping for a run in the side after a decent showing against Leeds, especially with decisions to make over his future this summer.
Despite shining on loan at Real Sociedad last season, Odegaard received little playing time at Real Madrid in the first half of this season, ultimately leading to him joining Arsenal.

Some have wondered whether Arsenal could prise Odegaard away from Real permanently, and he tackled the subject after full-time on Sunday whilst speaking to TV2.
Odegaard remained fairly non-committal, but didn’t rule out a permanent move to North London as he focuses on trying to star under Arteta.
“You never know what is going to happen, but for now I am just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team as much as possible,” said Odegaard.
