Real Madrid will sell reported Arsenal target Martin Odegaard, according to The Athletic.
What’s the story?
The Athletic are reporting that Spanish and European giants Madrid are open to selling Arsenal target Odegaard.
The 22-year-old is consider a project at Madrid, but the former Spanish and European champions ‘would listen to any significant’ offer for the attacking midfielder in the summer transfer window.
Daniel Ceballos, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Arsenal from Madrid, falls in the same category.
U-turn from Real Madrid
The Athletic reported in May that Odegaard is Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s number one transfer target this summer.
The youngster spent the second half of last season on loan at the Gunners from Madrid.
Marca reported in April that Odegaard is one of the players Madrid will simply not sell this summer.
However, this new report in The Athletic suggests Madrid have made an U-turn over Odegaard.

Big offer needed from Arsenal
Madrid are one of the biggest clubs in the world and will not let Odegaard leave on the cheap.
It is very likely that Arsenal will have to pay a lot of money to get Odegaard back at the club.
A loan deal may not be enough.
Odegaard scored one goal and gave two assists in the Premier League and scored once in the Europa League for Arsenal last season.
