Arsenal drew 0-0 with Manchester United on Saturday evening in a game that saw Martin Odegaard make his Gunners debut.
Mikel Arteta’s men couldn’t quite find the winning goal against United, with Alexandre Lacazette rattling the woodwork from a free kick.
Nicolas Pepe had a couple of chances too, but it just wasn’t to be as the Gunners picked up another point to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to seven games.
The clean sheet will be a huge positive for Arteta, as will having the opportunity to give Martin Odegaard his first appearance for Arsenal.
The Norwegian joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid earlier this week, penning an initial deal until the end of the season.
Given his lack of playing time at Real this season – and the form of Emile Smith Rowe – it was no great surprise to see Odegaard start from the bench against United.

Still, Arteta did bring the 23-year-old on with seven minutes to play, with the Norwegian no doubt hoping to build on his first appearance.
Odegaard took to Instagram to react, celebrating his debut and a point in a ‘tough game’, and immediately looked ahead to Arsenal’s next outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.
