Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard was in action for Norway last night.

Odegaard, who joined Arsenal on a permanent contract from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, lined up for Norway against Turkey in the 2022 World Cup qualifier.

The 22-year-old started on the right of a midfield-three.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

TV 2’s football expert Solveig Gulbrandsen gave Odegaard a 6 out of 10 for his performance.

Gulbrandsen wrote: “Directs and manages the pressure for Norway, which is a very important job.”

The expert added: “I want some more shots. Fantastic pass for Moi just before the end!”

Odegaard was not at his best for Norway, but the Arsenal attacking midfielder did do well in spells.

The youngster was involved in the goal for Norway, as he played a short corner routine with Jens Petter Hauge.

The 22-year-old playmaker also provided a brilliant pass for Southampton’s Mohamed Elyounoussi towards the end.

The playmaker took three shots but none was on target, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 75%, won one header, took 68 touches, made one tackle, and put in six crosses, according to WhoScored.

Odegaard has not exactly been great for Arsenal this season, but the former Madrid star is getting there.

The Arsenal no. 8 has scored one goal in five Premier League matches and has provided one assist in one Carabao Cup game for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.
