Speaking to ESPN, Martin Odegaard has been discussing what it’s been like training alongside Gabriel Jesus after the Brazilian was signed by Arsenal.
The striker arrived at the Emirates earlier this summer from Manchester City, and while he’s only been an Arsenal player for a few weeks, he seems to be settling in well.
Indeed, according to Odegaard, it hasn’t taken long for the striker to begin showing his quality in training sessions, stating that he can already see the amount of quality that he’ll bring to the squad.
What’s been said?
Odegaard spoke about Jesus in training
‘I’ve only been training with him for a few days now, but it doesn’t take long to see that he has a lot of quality and I think he will bring a lot of good things to the team. I’ve seen him play a lot for Man City and I think we’re lucky to have him. I’m really excited to play with him and to link-up, I think that could be fun,” Odegaard said.

Ready to go
This is the benefit of signing a player from another Premier League club.
No adaptation period is needed, Jesus knows exactly what to expect from football in this country, and the fact that he’s already worked alongside Mikel Arteta at Manchester City will surely also help him hit the ground running.
Jesus is already impressing in training, and if he can carry that over once the Premier League season starts, Arsenal could get off to a flier.
While the likes of Darwin Nunez or Erling Haaland may have to adjust to the rigours of the Premier League, Jesus should be ready to start with a bang.
Don’t be shocked if Jesus gets a few early goals for the Gunners this season.
