Martin Odegaard has told Takehiro Tomiyasu on his Instagram story to ‘stay strong’ after the Arsenal defender was ruled out for the rest of the Premier League season.
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah also reacted to Takehiro Tomiyasu’s knee injury by telling the right-back on his own Instagram story ‘we are with you’.
The Japan international suffered his injury after Mikel Arteta’s men were booted out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon last Thursday.

In truth, whilst Arsenal’s squad takes a hit, in regards to Tomiyasu now not being available, there will be a sigh of relief from supporters that it’s not a starter.
That’s not disregarding the versatile defender, but he is, at the end of the day, a bench player and someone that plays second fiddle to Ben White – Michael Owen thinks the Englishman is ‘underrated’.
Nonetheless, when reacting to the gutting news regarding his teammate, captain Martin Odegaard stated ‘stay strong’, whilst Nketiah added ‘We are with you, bro’.
WATCHING FROM THE SIDELINES
Tomiyasu is now every other Arsenal supporter and that’s the £56k-a-week star (Spotrac) watching the team’s Premier League title push from the sidelines.
After the international break, there are some seriously tough fixtures coming up for the north London club, including a number of potentially season-changing matches on the road.
The big one is going to be that trip to the Etihad, but before all of that, there is the small matter of having to deal with Jurgen Klopp’s inconsistent Liverpool at Anfield – as Michael Owen did send a warning to Arsenal and Manchester City about the Merseyside club.
