Birmingham City striker Che Adams has been attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Martin O’Connor believes Birmingham City striker Che Adams is worth £10 million in the current transfer market amid reported interest from Premier League clubs.
The Mirror claims that Wolves are one of 12 top-flight sides scouting and showing interest in the in-form 22-year-old, who is currently playing in the Championship.
Adams has scored 14 goals in 28 league matches for Garry Monks side, including finding the back of the net in his last three outings, most recently away at Norwich.
Former Blues midfielder O’Connor, who played for the club during the late ’90s and early noughties, offered his thoughts on Wolves’ reported interest in the player and stated what he is currently worth.
“If Blues sell him, they have a massive hole to fill,” O’Connor told BBC Radio WM. “And I think they can sell because of the financial embargo, but they cannot bring as many players in.
“In the current market, he’s on form, in double figures, so I’d say £10 million maybe plus.”
In terms of scoring goals, it has been quite a turnaround from Adams, who only scored 12 goals in his last two Championship seasons for Blues.
Now, the former Sheffield United player has already beaten those numbers in half a season as he will now be looking to aim for the 20 goal mark.
If he were to join Wolves then he would have to compete with on-loan Benfica striker Raul Jimenez, who has become a fan favourite because of his style of play.
